Or maybe like your fire has turned to this flicker inside of yourself and your confidence has started to crumble. Maybe at one point you felt like you were pretty confident in your skin, feeling pretty good with who you are overall, but yet all of a sudden maybe your confidence, it’s little bit on shaky ground and it’s just not quite as strong as what it used to be.

I am a functional nutritional therapy practitioner, a certified crystal healer, an energy worker, intuitive guide, and a soul who’s had to rebuild my own sense of power from the ground up many, many times.
0:01:58 Tansy Rodgers: And so in this episode, I want to bring all of the wisdom that I not only have in my professional life and how that translates and works with the solar plexus chakra, but also in my personal life and how I’ve had to make some shifts and some changes and really understand fully and completely how this chakra can impact every single aspect of who you are and how you show up in this world. Out of all the chakras. I always say that the solar plexus feels more like how we are presenting out into the world.
0:02:40 Tansy Rodgers: And so as we talk this week on the solar plexus itself, this week, week three is all about the evolution of self and the evolution of self and how you present yourself out into the world. A chakra infused crystal journey through your energy body and your soul’s remembrance. And that’s what I want to really bring to you today as you’re evolving and changing. This is a really important, all the shockers are important, but this is a really important one when it comes to you being able to stand on your own two feet and confidence and be able to put that out into the world and as well as embody it within yourself.
0:03:26 Tansy Rodgers: Today, like I said, we’re going to land in the solar plexus chakra. This is your seat of willpower, your purpose, your courage, your self worth. It’s really that fire that helps you rise up like a phoenix from the ashes, right? It helps you to rise up. It’s also the flame that can get buried when you are dealing or working through shame or burnout or control issues or fear of failure. That flame can really start to flicker and extinguish when it gets buried behind these emotions of shame and guilt, burnout, etc. Etc.
0:04:14 Tansy Rodgers: But like I say all the time, these chakras, they don’t work on their own. They work in flow with the other chakras. So even if you really get that solar plexus nice and balanced out, if the other chakras are blocked or imbalanced, then you still are going to be experiencing obstacles and things that you need to work through that will directly impact your solar plexus chakra. 0:04:59 Tansy Rodgers: But you can absolutely begin here. If your gut’s pulling you to listen to this. Even though it’s important to make sure all of the chakras are balanced, if you know that your solar plexus is one of those places that typically gets uprooted right away, if it’s typically those one that one that you need to work on regularly, well then this is the episode for you to start with. 0:06:33 Tansy Rodgers: All right, now let’s take a breath. We’re going to really step into this solar plexus energy and I want to start out by talking about the energy anatomy. That’s important. I want you to know the basis of what you’re working with, what you’re looking at when it comes to the solar plexus. So the solar plexus sits in your upper abdomen, just beneath the rib cage. And the color here, if we’re talking about color therapy, if we’re talking about the colors of the chakra, our solar plexus is typically a yellow color.
0:07:12 Tansy Rodgers: Your solar plexus governs your digestion, your metabolism, your nervous system, and most importantly, your personal power. So it’s not just about the mental and the emotional and the spiritual component, but it translates right over there to the physical body as well. And we’re going to talk more in depth about that in just a moment. Now, your solar plexus, when you really channel into that, this is the part of you that says I can, I will, I am enough.
0:07:47 Tansy Rodgers: Those seem to be the key phrases that pop into my head whenever I’m working with the solar plexus energy. Worthiness is another big one here as well. The solar plexus chakra is your inner sun. And when that inner sun is shining, you move more with clarity and confidence. That confidence just seems to come a little bit easier and more abundant. You know what you want, it’s easier for you to take aligned action and you don’t wait for permission.
0:08:22 Tansy Rodgers: And if you do wait for permission, it’s because you know deep in your soul that that is what you need for you to step back and then wait. Right. But really it’s all about that confidence of knowing that knowing of what you need and where you need to be. Now when this chakra is out of balance, you may start to feel stuck in self doubt, exhausted in people pleasing tendencies. Maybe you become over controlling or totally frozen when it comes to making decisions.
0:09:01 Tansy Rodgers: You’re more prone to digestive issues and adrenal fatigue. You kind of get into this place like you’ve forgotten how to trust. Your own yes and your own no. And I find that one of the sneakiest patterns that really dims the solar plexus is shame and guilt. Shame and guilt convince you that you’re not enough at your core. It disconnects you from your will, your worth, your sacred Fire. But here’s the truth, my friend. Here is the truth.
0:09:35 Tansy Rodgers: Here’s the truth that your soul really came here to remember that you are the flame, you are the light, and your power was never meant to be outsourced. But unfortunately, when the solar plexus starts to dim and starts to get its flame extinguished, it’s hard to remember that you are light and the flame and that you can lead in whatever way you’re meant to lead. That your power is not meant to necessarily be outsourced, but that you have it all within you as that starting point, that foundation.
0:10:14 Tansy Rodgers: And so I want to drive home here that you don’t necessarily, for a balanced solar plexus, you don’t necessarily have to be this great leader in the world and stand with all of this might, extending your arms up on the mountaintops. That’s not what I’m talking about. It could be simply as you taking that moment within yourself, standing in front of the refrigerator and saying, what do I want to eat today?
0:10:47 Tansy Rodgers: What am I hungry for? I know what I’m hungry for. Yeah, that’s what my body needs and that’s what I’m going to give my body today. Right? Like it can come down as something so simple and so mundane, our everyday mundane ness, but yet show up with power. That’s solar plexus energy. Now, I want to get tangible for a moment because solar plexus isn’t just energetic. I said this earlier, it’s not just energetic. It’s also deeply, deeply physiological.
0:11:25 Tansy Rodgers: And I have found that it’s important to make sure that you have a strong foundation physiologically as well, to be able to support the solar plexus energetically. They go hand in hand. And this is really true for any chakra. But I find this super important. When it comes to the solar plexus chakra energy, we need to have a strong physiological balance and foundation created for that solar plexus to be able to be better energetically supported.
0:11:59 Tansy Rodgers: One could say vice versa as well. But I’m going to really talk about that tangible piece right now. This chakra is anchored in your digestive system, your stomach, your pancreas, your small intestine, and even parts of your liver and your adrenals. So if your gut is off, your energy and personal power will be too. That’s important to remember. If your gut is feeling off, if you’re having digestive issues, if maybe you’re having some issues with your adrenal health or your liver, maybe you need some detoxification.
0:12:37 Tansy Rodgers: If your Gut is off. Your energy and personal power are going to be off, too. Here’s what I see all the time with my clients. I see chronic bloating and indigestion all the time. And so often this can be unprocessed energy, literally and emotionally. I see, especially when I’m at the solar plexus, I see the struggle with digesting life and that then can show up with digestive issues, maybe that the gut microbiome needs to have some more support through some healthy probiotics or prebiotics or getting the sugar out of your diet, or maybe if you have gluten or dairy, since sensitivities, maybe you’re nixing those, right?
0:13:24 Tansy Rodgers: But really, they go hand in hand. Heartburn, nausea, nervous stomach. I see this all the time. And so often this is linked to solar plexus overwhelm or internalized pressure. But again, also the gut microbiome and what that looks like, if there’s some kind of what they call a dysbiosis, which that is just big fancy words for an imbalance. And that could simply mean that you need to take some probiotics, or maybe that means that you need to get a little bit more fiber into your diet so that it’s feeding the healthy bacteria.
0:14:06 Tansy Rodgers: Right? And so I want to drive that home as well, that really supporting that gut microbiome is going to create and lay a foundation for that solar plexus energy to be better supported and for you also to then work with the overwhelm, work with the unprocessed energy and the emotions that hang out there. You know, when we talk about your liver and we talk about the emotions that hang out there, the liver is so often connected to stored anger.
0:14:40 Tansy Rodgers: And so if you find yourself really struggling with anger issues lately, that could be throwing off not only your digestion, not only your detoxification pathways, and how your body is ridding the toxins and the junk that are accumulating within the body. But it also can directly impact that solar plexus energy. I also see all the time blood sugar crashes, adrenal fatigue. Oh, my goodness. These two in particular are typically big indicators for me as a practitioner that your inner fire is starting to flicker out, that it’s flickering, that is dimming, and that you’re really struggling with getting that solar plexus energy, that solar plexus flame to grow, to expand.
0:15:41 Tansy Rodgers: Now, again, we have foods, we have nutrients, we have supplements that can absolutely directly impact blood sugar crashes and adrenal fatigue and can also help to balance that out. So if you are dealing with either of those, then it’s a good idea to start shifting maybe your nutritional intake, maybe supplementation or different lifestyle choices that are creating that to then help support the solar plexus energy.
0:16:16 Tansy Rodgers: So here’s my question. What if you want to build confidence? What if you really want to get that confidence expanded but you’re struggling with the energy side of it, you’re struggling with the setting boundaries, you’re struggling with taking that initiative. You’re struggling with standing up and saying the hard stuff. That is really hard, hard to express in situations that are feeling overwhelming and scary.
0:16:48 Tansy Rodgers: What if you are ADHD or a neurodivergent brain and you struggle with rsd and this is even more challenging to stand up and say what you need to shift away from people pleasing, to shift away from just giving your power away. What if that was what you wanted? Then I would suggest starting with digestion, not any diet culture kind of way. We don’t do that here on the energy fix. That’s not what I’m talking about.
0:17:26 Tansy Rodgers: I’m talking about in a self honoring way. So here’s a few ways to help support your solar plexus through your gut and through tangible everyday human experience way like the way that you are eating every day and the way you are living your life. So here are some of my favorites. Number one, start with something warm to drink first thing in the morning. I personally really like doing some warm lemon water because not only does that help to flush out some of the toxins that maybe I accumulated overnight, but also it helps to rehydrate me and it helps to get that digestive fire really burning, waking it up, getting it ready to start for the day.
0:18:14 Tansy Rodgers: And so that’s one of my favorite ways. You can though also add in some herbal tea or some bone broth if you want something different that’s warm in the morning. But always make sure even if you’re doing herbal tea or bone broth, make sure that you’re also getting water first thing in the morning. Even if that’s not heated. I don’t want you to just drink herbal tea or just drink bone broth. So make sure you’re getting your water.
0:18:39 Tansy Rodgers: But if you’re going to do a warm lemon water that can double as both. That’s one of my favorite favorite places to start when it comes to awakening that digestive fire. Number two, eat mindfully, make sure to chew thoroughly your digestion. People think your digestion starts in the stomach. It doesn’t. Your Digestion actually starts in the brain. It starts in the brain and then quickly goes down to the mouth.
0:19:08 Tansy Rodgers: And so if you’re feeling very stressed at any moment, if you’re rushing around, if you’re trying to eat while you’re driving, don’t do that by the way. But if you are trying to eat while you’re driving, if you are not taking a break at work and you’re sitting at your desk working and trying to move through a deadline while you’re eating your lunch, all of that, anything that’s creating those stressful moments is going to decrease the effects, effectiveness of your digestion.
0:19:38 Tansy Rodgers: And so this is important to make sure to remember because eating mindfully, eating slowly, chewing thoroughly, being in a lower stressed environment while you’re eating is going to greatly impact your digestive power. When you start to come into the mouth and you aren’t actually chewing your food very thoroughly, if you aren’t chewing it hardly at all and you’re just swallowing, well, that fast eating actually starts to dull the fire as well.
0:20:11 Tansy Rodgers: The stress, the fast eating, all of that is dulling that inner solar, solar plexus fire because of what it’s doing to the digestion. Number three, bitters before meals. I love things like dandelion or ginger to really help with that digestion. But you can also get, get a bitter’s tincture and take that instead. It’s easier, you can travel with that. It’s less, it’s less process of having to prepare the ginger or the dandelion. Right. So if you get a bitters tincture, that would be a great addition as well. It helps to stimulate bile and enzymes naturally so that your digestion is going to be much better off.
0:20:59 Tansy Rodgers: And also because your digestion is much better off, your solar plexus is being supported as well. And finally I will say for this part right now is saying no to stress eating. And so I already talked about the stress before, but this is a little different. I’m talking about stress eating from emotion. When you go to sit down and either snack or have a meal or whatever it is, where you are consuming food or consuming liquid, pause and ask yourself, is this feeding my gut or is it feeding my unprocessed emotions?
0:21:41 Tansy Rodgers: Because if it’s feeding the unprocessed emotions that’s going to ultimately shift your attention, shift your focus, shift your inner work towards something else, away from the solar plexus energy, away from working with that solar plexus, this energy. And now all of a sudden you’re putting your Power into the food to soothe you. And listen, I’m human too, right? Like sometimes it just feels really good to go out and have that sweet treat, that delicious ice cream cone, that bag of chips.
0:22:18 Tansy Rodgers: What is that? Is okay every so often, right? It’s okay every so often. But every so often can easily get into pattern. And when it gets into pattern, now we’re giving our power away to something else to try to find soothing comfort and healing our inner child, our inner solar plexus wounds. And that’s where I really encourage you to step back and just pause and ask, is this feeding my gut or is it feeding my unprocessed emotion?
0:22:56 Tansy Rodgers: And now if this is something that you feel like you need extra work with, you need to dive a little bit deeper. All right, let’s talk crystals. Let’s talk crystals. Because this is the Crystals series, this week I’m going to invite you to work with three radiant stones that help to reconnect you with the bold, clear and anchored energy of your solar plexus. Let’s start with a really common one yet, one that is so powerful and probably I would say my go to when it comes to solar plexus energy and that is citrine.
0:24:15 Tansy Rodgers: Citrine is the stone of empowered joy. It is like pure sunlight in crystal form. And it doesn’t just boost your confidence, it actually helps to awaken it from within. I always feel like citrine is kind of like that little inner sunshine that when you’re feeling like you need a burst of it, that working with that helps to get that started within yourself. Natural non heat treated citrine works directly with your solar energy to dissolve away lingering self doubt, to help awaken creativity, decision making to support your metabolism and your digestive fire.
0:24:56 Tansy Rodgers: And it also helps to invite abundance. Not just financially, but energetic abundance as well. Citrine comes in and says you are worthy of the joy that you dream about. You are worthy, my friend. It is a beautiful ally when you’re stepping into places of being more visible when you’re stepping into entrepreneurship or a career that encourages needs you to be more courageous and more confident in your standing.
0:25:32 Tansy Rodgers: It is a beautiful ally on any path that asks you to really step up and shine. And you can use citrine in multiple ways. But I’ll tell you two of my favorite ways that I use it. First, I actually love using citrine in a bracelet or a jewelry form. I prefer bracelet because it’s a little bit more accessible and easier to wear with anything. I like that because for me, it feels like I’m infusing my energy directly with citrine itself.
0:26:05 Tansy Rodgers: I just personally feel a little bit more empowered when I have a piece directly into my energy field like that. I also really like using. And you could use any size sphere. It could be something small, it could be a big sphere. But I like having a sphere of citrine sitting on my work desk or in a place where I feel like I need to cultivate a little bit more inner joy, a little bit more radiance and sunshine, and also confidence.
0:26:36 Tansy Rodgers: When I sit and look at a piece of citrine, especially the sphere, and I can see all the depths and the sparkle and the rainbows that just emanate out of that sphere, I feel very magical. I feel more alive and awakened. And what’s also great about the sphere shape is that that helps to take the energy and expand expanded in all directions. It’s almost like is I will liken it to turning on a light bulb.
0:27:11 Tansy Rodgers: That light just expands in all directions and it creates this burst of light, this ability to be able to see in the room. Right. And so when I am working with a sphere of citrine, I feel like that is what is doing for me. I feel like it is emitting this beautiful, soft citrine, joyful energy into my whole area. And I, as an energetic being, just soak that up. So those are two of my favorite ways to work with citrine that I have found super helpful for me.
0:27:51 Tansy Rodgers: All right, let’s go into crystal number two here. I want to talk about pyrite. Pyrite is the stone of bold boundaries, of magnetic will. It often gets miscast as just a money stone, but its wisdom goes so much deeper than that. It’s about structure and strength, and it holds this fire and metal in one. It says, you can build the life that you want, but you need boundaries, discernment and belief. That’s what I feel Pyrite really comes to the table with, you can build the life that you want. But you have got to have boundaries and discernment and belief that you can build the life that you want.
0:28:38 Tansy Rodgers: When you use pyrite, you are reclaiming your personal power from a toxic job or a relationship or a habit. If you’re in a place where you’re tired of collapsing your truth to make others comfortable, use pyrite. And if you need to reconnect with your inner masculine energy, where you get more focused, you get more protective, you get more clear, step in to using pyrite. All right, I want to talk about how I like personally using pyrite, because for me, it’s very.
0:29:14 Tansy Rodgers: It’s very intentional when I do use pyrite itself. So first, I like using it during breath work or affirmations. And I will set it right around my solar plexus area. Either set it on my solar plexus or I’ll hold it into my receiving hand. And during this time, I will sit with that and just meditate and repeat mantras like, I stand in my truth. I stand with strength. I stand with integrity. I am abundant, and I am strong and confident.
0:29:48 Tansy Rodgers: And so I will use this to really power in that pyrite, abundant, confident energy, and use it almost as a direct tool for the affirmations into my energetic and my subconscious brain. I also like using it as a visual reminder. It’s energetic, too, but it is energetic as well, but especially a visual reminder in situations, places, environments where I feel like confidence is a little bit harder for me to connect to, where it’s a little bit harder for me to feel truly aligned.
0:30:28 Tansy Rodgers: And so for so long, for me, one of those places was abundance financially. I really struggled a long time with my money mindset and how I was in my worthiness to receive, how I was in my. My confidence of what I could connect to abundantly financially, how I could support myself. And so for me, using pyrite in situations where I was going to be connecting to my money mindset, connecting to actual physical abundance, that was a great tool for me to have visually, but then also energetically.
0:31:10 Tansy Rodgers: One place that I would put pyrite is just a little tumble. I would put it into my wallet. And so every time that I opened my wallet and I saw that, I reminded myself, I am worthy to receive. I am abundant in all ways. Money is coming to me abundantly, fully and completely and in unexpected ways, or whatever affirmation that I chose to bring in at that point. But it was a great tool to connect me back into that grounded place, to get me out of Some of those subconscious patterns that I would get myself into and help to rewrite, to re script my brain so that my neural pathways, we’re choosing different ways of being, living and believing.
0:32:01 Tansy Rodgers: Okay, let’s talk about the last stone that I want to talk about today. Remember, there are so many stones that you can use to help support the solar plexus energy, but today I’m doing three. And the third one is da, da, da. Tiger’s eye. Golden tiger’s eye. You know, I loved tiger’s eye Ever since I was a little girl, whenever I would be out and about, if I went to different crystal places or crystal caves with my family and I would see a tiger’s eye, I would get so excited. The shimmer just absolutely stunned me every time.
0:32:45 Tansy Rodgers: And I feel like tiger’s eye and I have a relationship ever since I was a little girl. Tiger’s eye is a stone of rooted courage. It is this bridge between the solar plexus and the root, and it helps to bring grounding and power, helping you to make bold choices that feel safe. Working with tiger’s eye is perfect when you’re dealing with performance anxiety or fear, fear of failure, when maybe you have imposter syndrome, and you need to feel a little bit more supported and confident in who you are and what you’re doing and what you know it is perfect for fear of being judged, for taking up space and knowing that you are worthy, you are worthy to take up space.
0:33:35 Tansy Rodgers: It has this beautiful, gentle strength to it, and it comes in and it whispers, whispers and it says, go for it. I’ve got your back. I like to wear tiger’s eye when I’m teaching or hosting some workshops because it helps to remind me to trust my intuition and my preparation. That’s what real confidence is. And tiger’s eye can help with that. So you can simply wear it when you are needing that reminder, when you’re needing a little bit bit more courage. But if you are struggling with maybe fearing visibility, when you feel like you need to be seen, when you feel like you need to allow yourself to see your inner courage and that inner fire within you, you can use it in a little bit of a mirror ritual.
0:34:27 Tansy Rodgers: So if you hold a tiger’s eye in your hand and you stand in front of a mirror, stand there, gaze into your own eyes, you’re not trying to fix anything. You’re just trying to witness yourself and speak out loud. While you’re holding the tiger’s eye, speak out loud. Something like, I am allowed to be seen I am safe in my truth. And then take that tiger’s eye, slide it slowly from your heart center to your solar plexus axis and track the movement of the energy, see how it feels. Let it awaken both your softness and your strength.
0:35:08 Tansy Rodgers: This is such an incredible thing that you can do before you maybe stand up for a speaking gig, or if you’re standing up to give a talk, if you’re going live on social media, if you’re trying to show up boldly in your career, your work, your business, or if you’re trying to show up boldly in your family, where maybe the dynamics demand you, encourage you to be a little bit more rooted and strong with your boundaries, with the things that you need to say.
0:35:41 Tansy Rodgers: This is a great way for you to just remind yourself that you are strong deep within and that you have the courage in a softness and in a boldness, and that you can be one in the same at the very same time. All right, I want to do a little bit of an activation for the solar plexus while we’re here, while we’re talking about it, allowing you to step into this evolution of self. You know, it’s so funny. I find it interesting because it is storming here right now, and there is lightning and there is thunder going on in the background. And I feel like it is just this call of action, action of like, step forward, grab your fire, grab your inner voice, allow yourself to be heard, to be seen, to be bold.
0:36:36 Tansy Rodgers: I just feel like it’s so timely and actually kind of the perfect background in order to be able to have this activation really activated as we’re going through it. So if you are somewhere that you are able to just relax and sit, to close your eyes, to be fully embedded into this embodied activation, then please take that moment to just be still, to close your eyes. If it’s safe for you to allow yourself to comfortably just sit both feet either rooted into the ground if you’re sitting, or allowing your body to just expand and to soften if you’re laying down.
0:37:23 Tansy Rodgers: And I want to start by lighting the fire. Take one hand and put it over your solar plexus, your upper belly area. And then I want you to put the other hand over your heart. Close your eyes. If it’s safe, soften your jaw and let’s take a deep breath coming in. Breathe in. Let your ribs expand as you’re breathing in and exhale out, feeling your spine just settle and relax in whatever position that you’re sitting or laying in.
0:38:04 Tansy Rodgers: And again, breathing in through the nose, expanding the rib cage, letting it open and breathing out, letting your spine just settle and relax, letting your body getting heavier and heavier, letting all of the muscle tension release out of the body. And now I want you to repeat slowly with me, I reclaim my energy. I trust my inner fire. I am free to act, lead, and create with purpose. Feel that fire not as a burnout blaze, but as a steady golden flame getting bigger and bigger and knowing that it doesn’t demand, it only guides.
0:39:11 Tansy Rodgers: Take a moment and watch that steady golden flame start to expand into the solar plexus. This is your true power right here. As you breathe in, I want you to see that golden flame start to expand and to rise. And with that, your confidence and your inner fire, your inner energetic fire expanding as well. So take a deep breath, coming in through the nose. And as you exhale, exhaling out any uncertainty, any fear, any frustrations, exhaling out through the mouth, letting it all go.

And exhaling out through the mouth, allowing the fear, the frustration, any of the feelings, fears and doubts of who you are, letting that all be released. And one more time, inhaling through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth, letting it all go. And as you’re right here with your hand over your solar plexus and the other hand over the heart, I want you just to take a moment and feel that heart energy connecting down to the solar plexus.
